If the image above the and the title of this card game, reviewed at Gameshark, don’t make you want to play Epic Spell War of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mount Skullzfyre, then we should not play games together. Aside from your apparent lack of taste and inability to discern what is awesome, it would also demonstrate that you and I play games for entirely different reasons.
The good news is that ESWotBW: DaMS is a very smartly designed, simple take-that game that pretty much blows the entire Munchkin fleet out of the water. The even better news is that it has one of the coolest, most modern art styles I’ve seen in board games today. Down with stodgy, faux-Larry Elmore airbrushed TOR paperback novel crap. Up with surrealism, underground comix, and psychedlia.

This blog is responsible for me heading to my local games store after work specifically to hunt this down. My gf may not forgive you (she equates the cartoon graphics with children’s games), but I’ve already enjoyed a quick, silly and entirely not-taking-itself-seriously game or two. Probably not one for playing with the family though!
