Steam Summer Sale Starts… Whenever You Can Get In

A little riddle for you all on a random Thursday afternoon in July: How do you know when a Steam Summer Sale has begun?

A: You go to the page in your browser and get Error 503.

Seriously, I think that screen is hilarious, which probably says all kinds of things about me. Whatever. Click away and maybe you’ll have better luck.

    Besides the front page sales & the developer/publisher bundles, there is a bunch of 70-80% off sales on lesser known titles here;

      Do you know if that list be changing daily like the marquee sales?

        There is (flash) sales every 8 hours. On reddit, I’d suggest perusing /r/steamdeals , /r/games/, and /r/GameDeals/.

        Also steamgamesales.com is another place to go, they update every few minutes during steam sales (but I don’t know too much about them or their affiliations).

        When in doubt, hit up the source; store.steampowered.com

    Crusader Kings 2 complete for about $16. Legend of Grimrock for $6. Thems is good deals.

    Speaking of high profile gaming events that the average fan has trouble accessing, are you guys going to be doing any coverage of AbnerCon this year? Like a live stream or a bonus podcast about the games of the day?

    I’d love to hear what goes on during a Battlestar Galactica game!

    I’m not sure exactly why but this website is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I’ll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
