Hunted: The Demon’s Forge: The Contest!

**Contest is now over, move along. nothing to see here**

Well what do you know it’s time for another NHS contest!

We have a copy of the Xbox 360 version of the newly released co-op dungeon hack, slash and crawl adventure Hunted: The Demon’s Forge from Bethesda and inXile Entertainment. I just started playing this today and while nowhere near ready to say much about it, I do think there’s potential for some fun co-op monster killing and come on people it’s free stuff!

It is, once again, our way of saying thanks to everyone who reads No High Scores and makes writing here a lot of fun, which is truly why we do it. Because no one pays us. Not a nickel. We’re suckers.

Just leave a comment below saying you’d like to win a copy and we always enjoy reading comments about how wonderful we are although that has no bearing on who will win (wink) . Good luck! I’ll announce the winner in the Sunday Time Waster.

  1. Just thought of it the other day. When you guys get free stuff, it’s always “Hurrah! Competition time!”, yet I see other blogs getting cool shwag which they just make a post about and then just sit on it.

I dunno, it used to be the norm, but now just feels like other blog writers like to gloat. You guys giving stuff out all the time is a strange and unusual experience.

  2. Please… please send one to me so my girlfriend and I can bash demon’s religiously all night long…

  3. …is like having liquid joy pumped directly up one’s rectum. I profess this fact to everyone I know, constantly, to the point where I’m alienating all of my friends.

    Now, shower me in games.

  4. My interest is piqued by this game, so I’ve decided to stop lurking and actually join the site. Been faithfully reading since you were linked on Penny Arcade and love your content. Keep it up! Oh, and yeah, I’d love a free game please.

  5. Oh, I’d like to win!
I love NHS for the fact that you post things like Randy Pitchford getting called out for being too defensive about Duke Nuke’m Forever, which has a significant chance of sucking.

    Let’s Win, me!

  6. Love the site, but this is obvious. I would love to win Hunted: The Demon’s Forge because it is not only a hack-and-slash title, but because it is also cooperative. A Co-op title would force me to literally go out there, make a friend and then…..I shudder to say the words, but “cooperate” and use “teamwork” to accomplish “our” goals. I think this experience could in fact make great strides in my development as a person.

Also my birthday is Tuesday. That is all….Thank you.

  7. I’ve been following this place for a month, and it’s one of the few gaming blogs worth reading every day. Keep up the great work. And please, sir, put my name in the hat.

  8. I’d love to win a copy of Hunted: The Demon’s Forge!

But really, we are all the real winners, just by having this blog available to us!

  9. Hell yeah! I would never buy this, so this is as good opportunity as ever!

Obvs this blog is fantastic, keep on keeping on!

  10. I am totally down for a copy Hunted. I would be honored to receive it. Me and my wife just finished Fable III together, so a new game is on the horizon for us.

  11. I’ve been following this game for months and would love to win a copy! Keep up the great site!

  12. Man, this game looked awesome, I’d like to win a copy. You guys here at No high scores have great articles and this is the only way i keep up with gaming info.

  13. but I’m not sure. Is it awesome? I love me some good dungeon-crawling, hack-and-slashing mayhem.

  14. …is if I win free swag….
    …especially fantasy demon swag…
    Massive Swagasm incoming…..

  15. I would not mind winning a free game I had intended to buy. This is the truth.

I’ve been a big fan of the coverage since your very well regarded mention on ye olde Penny-o’-the-Arcades. I appreciate the lack of invasive advertising, and the very consistent article quality. This is also the truth.

  16. this would push me over the edge to getting a 360. especially if the expected price drops come.

  17. I don’t want to win the game, I don’t have a 360.
Labreya has a good point. The most obnoxious “gamers” I’ve met are the secretive esoteric assholes. I was used to the GameStop employees being that way, and the bratty schoolmate or two, but I met an old guy in the magazine business once and was shocked to find an old man with that same vibe.
You nhs writers are pretty cool

  18. NHS is awesome.
    Free stuff is mega-awesome.

    awesome*mega-awesome=awesome^3=ridicawesome

    And that’s a fact.

  19. Just started playing Demon’s Souls via Gamefly the other day – pretty good so far. I’d love to give another hack’n’slasher a go, especially co-op!

  20. I really respect the opinions put forth on a daily basis here. Constantly coming back hoping to find a new article. keep up the great work.

  21. I would like to win a copy of this fine master piece title.

It has always been a pleasure of mine to feast upon the mountains of comments that populate each blog entry. A cornucopia of calm compatriots casually conversing co-op campaigns. (that was so difficult, you have no idea)

  22. well don’t mind if I do take a stab at winning something cool. And special props for the podcast that makes my workdays go all that much faster.

  23. No more! I have never lived life to the fullest and I demand the right to Hunt these so-called “Demons” and possibly Forge something out of their hide and/or skeleton! (The game, if you will )

  24. I am prepared to offer Renfield-esque levels of sycophantic devotion if you guys give me a copy of this game

  25. Free stuff is always good, even if a postal strike up here might delay it for ages and ages should I win.

Site is always entertaining, and has a distinct flavour that differs from “the mothership”.

  26. I would like a copy Hunted: The Semens Splurge because I believe it will have a very interesting take on Co-op.

  27. Giving me the copy would be in Barnes’ best interest. It might distract me long enough to give him a shot at some of my Pinball FX2 scores.

This is one of the few sites on the web that I can trust to put gameplay first and call out developers trying to pad out their otherwise lackluster games with the disassociated “stories” of wannabe screenwriters and directors. Keep it up.

  28. Whenever anyone asks me about what gaming website I would go to I always tell them to go here first. Always.

  29. I was going to purchase this game, but since I only $12 in the bank at the moment this doesn’t seem like a bad shot. I figure I might as well leave a comment since I was going to be spending time on here anyways

  30. I would love to win a copy of this, the world of hack and slash fantasy co-op has been lacking lately.

  31. I would love to win this game and did i mention that you are all wonderful and easily of above average attractiveness.

  32. You other gamers can’t deny
That when a monster walks in with an itty bitty waist
and some teeth up in your face
    they get TWANG! headshot.

  33. Finally caught up on all the podcasts. I think I may have Stockholm syndrome, but I would love a copy of this game to keep my company.

  34. I would love to win this. Not for me, mind you, but for you. You all here at No High Scores are so amazing, that only giving this to me could make you any more awesome. So, really, this would be a win for you…not me. Do it for yourselves! You deserve it.

  35. I’m legitimately excited about this game. Seems like it has a sense of humor, and pretty good looking too.

  36. Gosh, I sure do like free stuff. Unless it’s poop. My local feral cats give me free poop, but I don’t like it.

  37. If I win I promise to be very grateful. Very very grateful. Wink.

Probably not the best choice for the subject line given the innuendo of the comment, but it stays!

  38. Long Time, First Time…

Love the site; so happy I can find board game news along with the video game info I normally read. Keep up the great work.

  39. This game looks extremely interesting. I hope I got a shot to win this.

Also, I’ve got quite a few people reading this site. I normally hype the fact that you talk to us, not from a script. It’s great to see, please keep it up.

  40. Guessing if I win there’s not much chance of getting two free copies so I can try the co-op with my poor friends…

No? Worth a try. One free copy would still be cool.

  41. I love reading the stuff on here! This isn’t a game that I would normally pick up so I would love to win!

  42. The game looks like it has promise. I just wish that it had a demo out there so I could try it without throwing down 60.

  43. If I get picked I’m not saying you’ll get fellatio, but I can’t say you’re not NOT getting fellatio…

    /I’m a dude, you don’t want it.
    //fellatio not included

  44. Long time reader, first time poster. I love this website I am so tired of the twitter-esk blurbs for people with the attention span of a small child.
Thank you NHS for writing as if I have a brain! You’re like the New Yorker of the gaming world <3

Also, I wouldn’t mind a copy of that sexy game.
