We love us some shmups here at No High Scores. Well, the cool staff members do, so a giveaway for Really Big Sky was only natural.
We’re teaming up with Boss Baddie to give out 10 Steam keys. That’s right, 10 keys for full retail editions of Really Big Sky, so keep reading for the details.

See what just happened there? Of course you didn’t, because it’s too cosmically transcendental for mortal minds to comprehend through video alone. To rectify the situation and experience Really Big Sky the proper way, just follow the instructions below. Once again, you can choose one option to enter, or use both and double your chances:
Option 1 – Leave your Steam ID below, along with the name of your all-time favorite shmup. Simple as that.
Option 2 – Follow @nohighscores and use that handy Twitter button to spread the word. But, we want you to delete the default message and replace it with this:
Really Big Sky Giveaway. Thanks @bossbaddiegames and @nohighscores https://www.nohighscores.com/2012/03/22/really-big-sky-cosmic-giveaway/
The deadline to enter is Sunday, March 25, at 9pm (EST). Afterward, we will choose 10 lucky winners at random.
While you’re at it, be sure to show Boss Baddie some love on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.

All-Time Favorite Schmup: Life Force
I like some shmups more than others. This one looks very pretty ghough; I’m still waiting for a PC release of that shmup you reviewed earlier this week with everything in 3D and epic boss battles.
Steam ID: Furfuris
Favorite Schmup: Tyrian 2000. Bring me more carrots…
My Steam ID is ltjimdandy and my favorite shmup is Radiant Silvergun. Man I love that game…
Steam ID is Anewcombe
Favourite shmup…something from the SNES era, probably STG Strike Gunner for its weird special weapon mechanic.
Steam ID: jtard1989
All time favorite Shmup is a bit harder to say; I loved Lightning Force back on the Genesis. I love Death Smiles; and I’m going to give Sine Mora a chance tonight when I get back from work. Beat Hazard gets honorable mention based on it’s pure awesomeness.
Sine Mora is a complete blast, Mass Effect 3 shall continue to sit on the shelf unopened thanks to gems like these.

Favourite shmup is Ikaruga
Steam ID is rhamorim and my favourite shmup would be… ok, the one I played the most: Tokio, aka Scramble Formation. Yeah, that arcade game released by Taito in 1986. I guess that shows my age, but I don’t care. 😉

Biohazard Battle for the Genesis is my all time fav. My college roommate and I spent way to many hours playing B.B. than doing homework.
Steam ID: wonderloss
Favorite SHMUP? I have not played that many, so it would have to be something old like Nemesis.
I have to second Ikaruga. I bought that, full price, for the gamecube. It was rough.

Favourite Shmup: Bangai-O on Dreamcast, protecting space from fruit pirates!
Wow, I’m not the only one like Life Force more than Gradius. Cool to see some Bangai-O love. And for Beat Hazard, I highly recommend trying it with some Dragonforce. Your seizures will have seizures.
Just because I love talking about shmups, my favorite is Strikers 1945 II.
Xenon. Atari version. That was fun back in a day.

Favorite shmup: Super Stardust. Don’t let the 3D fool you – the bullets are still hell, especially on the new Vita version.
And yes, my Steam ID has “psn” in it. To my chagrin.
SteamID: Skeletor9000
Favorite Shmup: Twinkle Star Sprites. Srsly.
Steam ID: http://www.steamcommunity.com/id/webrunner
steam username: webrunner42
Favorite shmup: Gotta say Gradius 3.

Kind of surprised there aren’t more old-school Cave shoutouts.
Steam id: Chronorayven
I’d have to say between TwinBee and Gradius.
