Download This Demo: Unity of Command

One of the best strategy/wargames of the year, or maybe the past few years, is now available in demo form on both PC and Mac. Unity of Command is a wonderful piece of game design and you really need to give it a whirl.

Remember, even the esteemed Jon Shafer thinks so too.

Don’t be intimidated by that screenshot, this is a streamlined design that is a step up from Panzer General but not super detailed like a chit-based wargame. It’s excellent.

You can buy Unity of Command direct from Gamersgate for $29.99 and is worth every penny.

  1. I picked this up a couple months ago and although I’ve only had a little time to actually play it, it really is excellent. Hopefully more people will take a look at it now.

  2. I’ve been waiting for this for some time now. I def. wanted to try this out but as I have no experience with this type of game, a demo is a must before dropping the cash.

  3. So very satisfying when I beat a scenario in this game, because I know I’ve earned it. So very educational when I lose, because the AI hands me my head, and thus teaches me how to play.

  4. I played it to death during the beta, and right after release, and really haven’t touched it since because of new shiny stuffs.

I really ought to go back to it.

  5. Finally got around to trying the scenario and it was very pleasing. Like an updated Battle Isles with a luxury modern coat of paint.

Would be interesting to try a bigger battle with more units…. oh well. Where’s my wallet.

  6. wait, did you say upgrade from Panzer G?! really?!! does it have the uber germanski WWII movie general mission brief voice overs?

    loved that part
