This morning brings us the first trailer for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim DLC, Dawnguard. Looks like we’ve got vamps in the hizzy, and from the sound of the narration you’ll have the option of joining them or suiting up with the Dawnguard to stop them. This one actually interests me a bit; probably not enough to actually play more Skyrim, but it looks rather cool.
Looking forward to it. I liked Skyrim quite a bit, and I keep playing it (and will for a quite a while), even with its MANY flaws.
Also, expansions for Elder Scrolls games tend to be better than the base games (Bloodmoon for Morrowind, and Shivering Isles for Oblivion), so it might be the case with Dawnguard and Skyrim as well. We’ll see.
On a related note, the combat on horseback shown briefly in the video is already available for free to PC players in the 1.6 beta patch available on Steam.
Yay for free stuff.
So, what, I’m supposed to choose between turning into a demonic, flying, soul-eating bat demon or… a crossbow? Decisions decisions.
