Frozen Synapse Goes Red

Rightfully deemed one of the best turn-based tactics games in years, Frozen Synapse is back with Red, the first paid expansion pack.

Some of the new features include 15 new missions, 10 challenges, full co-op through the main campaign, and some free music for your collection. Important to note is that expansion owners and non-owners will still be able to play together online. Read the full list of details and additions at the Mode 7 blog. Additionally, the core game of Frozen Synapse has been updated with a Hotseat mode, timed turns, and non-randomized maps for competitive play.

  1. Noooooooo!!! That awesome game doesn’t need more content because my pile is so HUGE!

Seriously, one of my favorite games of all time. Tactical gameplay boiled down to its essence. The addition of a the riot shield causes so many more opportunities it’s insane.

    1. Garion (or anyone), treat me like I’m stupid and sell me the original game. This is the first time I’ve ever seen any footage, but I’m intrigued.

    2. Never mind. I tried the demo, and I don’t understand how line of sight is being calculated at all. The tutorial didn’t actually give me the skills to understand why I was dying in the missions.

For people who might see this differently, the demo is on Steam, and it’s 33% off for the next 12 hours.
