Jumping the Shark #180 delves into the treacherous realm of home renovations and sales as I recount to Brandon my housing nightmare. It’s a learning experience you won’t want to miss. We also talk more in depth on the XCOM iPad port and Brandon completes Last of Us and concludes that the game is really rather okay by him so we should all join hands and sing its praises, or at least be a little nicer to it. And don’t miss the outtakes this week when Brandon calls out Tom. It’s all here in this week’s JtS! (As a quick PSA: We’re taking this week off from podcasting so we can more effectively celebrate the birth of the American nation, but we’ll be back on July 15th with episode #181.)

There’s a strange comfort in just hearing two old friends shooting shit. Plus you guys are hilarious as usual. Just wanted to say thanks for making my Mondays easier.
Glad to help. Todd and I are having a blast, so it’s all good.
Those are the kind of comments that make doing the show such a pleasure. Well, that and just being able to shoot the shit with Brandon and Bill. Seriously, thank you!
No JtS till the 15th? KAAAAAAHN.
Which KAAAAAHN was that, the ST 2 one or the Into Darkness one? I only ask because Todd may strike you if it’s the latter. 😉
Well, what really matters is who screams the name, and in this their can be no debate: Kirk’s scream was way better!
Klingon bastards killed my son!
As someone who universally hates boring/padded combat sections, and has never yet enjoyed a third person cover shooter in terms of mechanics (Mass Effect’s mechanics I found vile and boring, so much so I couldn’t finish 1 or 2), I enjoyed the hell out of TLOU from a mechanical perspective.
It’s more manual, no stupid sticky cover, the stealth, none of this “me-on-one-end-of-a-room-enemies-spawn-on-other-end-of-room-waist-high-barriers-in-the-middle-start shooting” stuff that galls me so much.
