If you have an iPad or iPhone and dig Radiangames (and why wouldn’t you?), you will want to check out the newly released Inferno+, aptly described as a cross between Geometry Wars and Gauntlet.
Additionally, Super Crossfire and Super Crossfire HD have been updated with a new survival mode, while Fireball SE, Ballistic SE, and Gobs of Fun have all received minor changes that you can view on the respective iTunes pages.
As you know, or should know if you read No High Scores on a regular basis, we don’t post every trailer or news bit that comes across our desk. We generally stick to what interests us. Well I love Sherlock Holmes and I have been stoically waiting for a good Holmes game for years and I hope this is the one. The trailer is promising and we’ll get a look at the game at E3. In fact, checking the schedule…Brandon will see this at E3. How did that happen?
Open World Holmes mystery game? Please be good. I saw this at E3 last year and it looked good then, too, but a bit rough. It’s come a long way if that trailer is any indication.
This morning brings us the first trailer for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim DLC, Dawnguard. Looks like we’ve got vamps in the hizzy, and from the sound of the narration you’ll have the option of joining them or suiting up with the Dawnguard to stop them. This one actually interests me a bit; probably not enough to actually play more Skyrim, but it looks rather cool.
It’s turning out to be trailer day here at NHS (or perhaps trailer week), as Paradox announce the latest bit of DLC (and by far the biggest) for Crusader Kings 2 – Sword of Islam. Expect to see this one come out in June, along with the 1.06 patch and be priced at $9.99. Here’s the word from Paradox:
New York, May 30, 2012 – Paradox Interactive and Paradox Development Studio today reveal that players will soon be able to play as the Muslim rulers in upcoming DLC “Sword of Islam” .
The DLC will release at the same time as the next hefty patch which adds new features to the game, such as an expansion of the map into Mali-Songhay, differentiation on strong and weak claims, new plot, expanded combat and more.
Sword of Islam enables players to rule as the Muslim lords, delivering a wealth of specific new mechanics distinctive to these rulers, creating a whole new gameplay experience. Laws, marriage, holding, traits , titles and more will work completely differently.
A huge part of XCOM is what goes on outside of a mission — the goings on at XCOM HQ. This trailer shows off how this is all going to work inside the new version set to to release in October.
This looks great, but I’m hoping we can switch to each room quickly. After a while those neat visuals could get in the way if it’s not handled properly. Still, the details provided in the trailer are very encouraging.
